Unable to access archived public folder content, Outlook 2010

Environment in my signature. Problem is that no Outlook 2010 clients can open archived items that reside in a public folder. Outlook 2003 and 2007 clients as well as OWA have no problem. We are running that latest Outlook plugin. Does anybody else have this problem or can you retrieve an item from a public folder while using Outlook 2010?

your signature doesn't show in the first post.

Is there an error?  Can you post a client trace?

Do you enable Scripts in the mailbox policy?

 Within an Outlook 2010 client:

  1. Select the File tab
  2. Select Options
  3. Select the Trust Center option on the left
  4. Select the Trust Center Settings button.
  5. Within the Trust Center select the E-mail Security on the left
  6. Check the box for Allow Scripts in Public Folders

To do this via policy on the Vault Admin Console (VAC)

  1. Inside the VAC expand your Site and select Policies
  2. Expand Exchange
  3. Click on Desktop
  4. Right click on the Desktop Policy
  5. Click on Advanced
  6. In the drop down box select Outlook
  7. Modify the Allow Scripts in Public Folders setting and change to Force On
  8. Click Apply
  9. Click Ok

Once this is done you will need to either manually synchronize the mailbox or wait for the scheduled synchronization during the next scheduled archiving run.

Note: Users will have to restart Outlook for this setting to take effect.
