When run from  C:\windows\SysWOW64 every thing looks fine. It did show new SQL server.

I would suggest running deployment scanner on the EV server and let us know what it reports

Little progress. I

Little progress. I uninstalled the EV agent from old EV server and now the error has changed when I try to backup. So, it sounds like backup media server still pointing to old EV server and we know there is no EV services running.
