Unable to create archive point EV7.5

smitpeth

Windows Server 2003 R2 Service Pack 2
EV 7.5

I have an existing target File Server - \\DCxx with an existing Volume - vol1. Vault Store - DCxx.  using Default Volume policy.  Archiving is working fine for this volume

I'm trying to add a new Volume - vol2 to the same Target server, which I can do with no problems.  If I try to create a new archive point via New Folder I get the error message

"Failed to save or update details for the folder "\" in the Directory Service."

"Could not mark the folder with File System Archiving Information"

"Access is denied"

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried creating the archive point using the command line?

First logon to the EV server using the EV service account

open a command prompt

Change Directory to c:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault

Type

archivepoints Create \\DCxx\Vol2

This will create an archive point for the root of the Vol2 Share
