Upgrade / Change hardware from EV 8 sp4 to EV 9sp1

Currently running EV 8 SP4 on Server 2003 R2 32bit.

I want to be running EV 9 SP1 on Server 2008 R2.

What would you do?

I would agree.....

But i'm guessing the question you want answered is how to go about it....
If I were you i would upgrade in place the 2003 server from EV8 SP4 to EV9 SP2 (wait for SP2, don't go to SP1) and then get your Windows 2008 server up and running, install the EV9 binaries on it and then move everything across to the new server

First of all, SP2 is getting closer to its release date, I don't have an official ETA on it, but it's soon, but in all honesty, there have been so many issues with EV9 SP1 with a lot of hotfixes being released

Would the above document work for upgrading from Vault 2007sp4 on Server 2003 x86 to Vault 8.0sp4 on Server 2008 R2 (x64)?

yup, but still suggest doing all the ev upgrades on the server in place first and THEN migrate it across
