Hi,

I'm using EV (email and file archiving) and the version is 11.0.1.3706, can I upgrade to EV 12.3 directly?

Yes, that is supported. See the technote below for supported upgrade paths:

Yes you can.

From the upgrade guide:

The only possible server upgrade paths to this version are from the following:
Enterprise Vault 11.0 or 11.0.1.
Enterprise Vault 12.0 original release, 12.1 or 12.2.

We've upgraded from 11.0.1CHF5 last weekend without issues to 12.3

Hi Gertjan,

We try to upgrade from 11.0.1.3706 to 12.2 as following steps but all clients  "synchronization failed".

Did i miss any step?

1.Upgrade EV servers and success

2.Run Upgrade DB command without error.

3. Reboot all servers and start all EV service.

Hello Ryan,

Interestingly, you say you upgraded to 12.2, where your original question was for 12.3. Did the database upgrade went successfull? Does Deployment Scanner show something which requires fixing? After the reboot, are you sure all services are started properly? (i.e. do you see events indicating 'service started')?

What is the EV client version? did you also roll out the 12.3 client? Maybe enable tracing in the client, check that. I'm not sure what to verify next, as I am not in an environment which does mailbox archiving.

edit - added this :  http://<server>/enterprisevault/vcview.aspx replace <server> for your EV server name. this shows some light on Vault Cache activity.

Regards. Gertjan
