Upgrade EV from 10.0 to 10.0.1

We are planning to upgrade EV 10.0 to EV 10.0.1

I want to know is there any requirement of running sql maintenance as mention in the upgrade instructions

Is there any big changes in the directory database?

I also want to know that reinstallation of OWA extensions on exchange server is required? Since it was not a major change

Yes, upgrade for the EV server you should backup EVERYTHING as mentioned in the upgrade guides. Regardless of the changes (which there are especially the database schema versions etc), it is best practice that you should backup EVERYTHING before performing an upgrade for EV. If the backup does not go to plan then you have something to roll back to.

OWA extensions not needed unless there is a specific fix in 10.0.1. It is preferably that you upgrade the OWA extensions but you don't have to do it at the same time.

Backing up Enterprise Vault data

For changes between 10 and 10sp1 you can look at the directordb_x_xxxxx.sql script to see the differences between 10 and 10sp1
