Anywhere I can find this on the server?  Is it in the console somewhere?

There is no such thing as a Serial, Enterprise Vault used to use keys, but now it uses License files (slf).

The license is the same between versions so far, so 7 license is the same as 8.  You will find an installed license in ":\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\Installed Licenses" however if you reinstalling your Enterprise Vault server you cannot just place the license into that location, you will need to copy the slf into ":\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\" and restart the Admin Service.  That will pick up the new lic and install it to the relevant locations.

Hope this makes seance.

Yes, on the Server

C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\Installed Licenses

You can open up the files there with notepad.
You should be able to retrieve everything you need from there.

We only have our EV7 licenses there.  But we are running 8.0.

No licenses in there.  I think 8.0 either uses different licenses, or it accepted our 7.0 licenses.  Either way, I need my serial so I can download SP2 and such when it comes out.

Might have to call support...

This is only partially true.
There is a "Serial Number", else you couldn't download the software from FileConnect:
https://fileconnect.symantec.com/licenselogin.jsp?localeStr=en_US

It's even in the license file (SLF):
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<licenses xmlns="https://licensing.symantec.com">
<license signature="skldgsljdgjkslrgksjrglksödrjgsölergjserl gsjerlögsjöer">
<license_format>1</license_format>
<fulfillment_id>1234567.8</fulfillment_id>
<serial_id>9908493.7</serial_id>
<serial_number>M5738574654</serial_number>
<product_name>Symantec Enterprise Vault PST Migrator 7.0</product_name>
<sign_date>2007-03-27</sign_date>
<key>
<name>EVPSTM</name>
<version>1.0</version>
</key>
</license>
</licenses>

So, yes, EV does not use the Serial Number directly, but you need it to get the software nowadays... ;)

That's the license serial, not the product serial. So urm I'm right, not partially right.
