Windows Server 2008 clustered FSA agent installation not appearing as cluster ?

Hi All,

I have uninstall the FSA agent from my both file server nodes which I installed manually on both nodes a stand alone agent service through appwiz.cpl (Add/Remove programs)

However, even after I followed the KB article: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO49588 to push deploy the FSA agent through the EV admin console successfully, I cannot see the FSA agent service listed in the cluster resource ?

at the moment both FSA agent are online in both nodes as can be seen from the services.msc ?

so what is the point of installing it as cluster then ?

Why do you need to make FSA Agent clustered? Just leave FSA agant running on both nodes, so if you have multiple virtual file servers in both nodes it should work fine ....

Hi EV007, that is why I'd like to know what is the pro and cons in running the EV placeholder FSA agent as stand alone and in cluster ?

Well surely if the placeholder service fails and it's not a resource, then a failover will not occur?
