Wrong entries in ExchangeMailboxEntry table

Hi All,

I'm in the middle of the tidying up the some old Vault database after AD renaming, few Vault and Exchange upgrades and recently found around 1000 entries of no existing mailboxes in AD, but set flagged as follows:

MbxArchivingState MbxExchangeState ExchangeMbxType
1 1 1

MbxAdminFlags are set in range from 0 up to 3.

Can you confirm if they're safe to delete from table?

Why are they still existing as provisioning should update all/delete stale records?

Many thanks for help,

Mike

Yeah that's a good way to put it. Or for historical records if you ever wanted to look at the table to see mailboxes enabled.

Hi Mike. So when you disable a user the entry will not be removed from the ExchangeMailboxEntry table. You can remove entries from this table if you need to. If you accidently removed an entry for an active user they will be added once again when Provisioning is ran.

Hi dcVast,

so could it be a right assumption that old entries are kept and being useful only in case when SynchInMigrationMode = 0 or 1 to verify if mailbox hasn't been reinstated ?
