I may have fuc.... up my archiving.

I have retrieved all my archived mail back to my outlook, then I deleted the archive on the EV-server. Reenabled my mailbox for archiving with a new retention (not much different only the retention, the policies are the same).

For some strange (in my head ;) ) all the old mails are not being archived now - Only items that wasn't archived before.

Any idea what I can do to re-archive all my old mails again?

you need to use IgnoreEVDates or wait for the items to be eligible again.

Because you restored them the modified date changes and EV knows they were restored and is going to key of that date instead of send/recieve.

To allow Enterprise Vault to archive the restored items during the next archiving run, create the REG_DWORD IgnoreEVDates in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Agent. Set the value of IgnoreEVDates to 3 (decimal), then restart the archiving task.

Do a run now on your mailbox and then the items will be archived.  After it is done delete the key as it is not best practice to leave it in place.

You are a life-saver Tony, Thanks a lot.

I now have the icons - marked for archive, just waiting for friday now where our backup sets the archive-bit.

Again thanks - this is a keeper-post.
