archived files won't open

Hello

I have a strange issue whereby a number of my PDF files ( that are archived) will not open via archive shortcut in windows explorer, however if i copy the archive shortcut and paste into the same folder the PDF files open.

 

The drawback of this is that I have copy each file and there are circa 1000 files I need to open.

Has anyone got experience of this behaviour?

how large are these PDF's? maybe by moving them you are prompting it to download the file? Have you tried to restore before opening?

Hi The PDFs are various sizes By attempting to open the shortcut should bring it back from archive but it won't open unless I copy it

Hello

The situation is now resolved and appeared to be caused by an EV task running in the background when it should of been running out of business hours
