hide archive in archive explorer

hey is it possible to remove / hide a public folder from archive explorer so you not can see the archive or browse it,  but it should still be possible to search the archive.

archived deleted items

I'm learning the ins and outs of EV 8.0 SP2 and have a question about how deleted items are archived.  If the desktop policy is set to delete shortcuts only, what happens to the original message?  If it remains in the archive, how is it accessed?
