hello,
i know that in previous versions of enterprise vault, there was the possibility to change the behaviour of the archiving task. ( i think it was a registry key IgnoreEVDate)
standard archiving uses the modified date to check which mails will be archived.
since we migrated to ev 9.0.1 we exported a lot of archives and reimported it to the corresponding exchange mailboxes.
all those mails will not archive because of the new modified date. this will lead to a situation where 50 gb of mails will be archived on one certain day.
i would like to change this setting for a short timeperiod and then set it back to use the standard behaviour.
anybody who knows how to accomplish this?
best regards,
felix

It's never been listed in any of the guides or public documentation, its one of those keys that devs really don't want you to use
it is still valid for EV9
Once done with it, remove the key

well you knocked it on the head with IgnoreEVDates
When items are restored to a mailbox, EV actually stamps the message with an attribute which is just called Restored Date, and EV will use that to base when the item is eligible
Use IgnoreEVDates and set to 2
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Agents
IgnoreEVDates (DWORD)
0 = Off
1 = Ignore Archived date
2 = Ignore Restored date
3 = Ignore both Archived and Restored date
Restart the task controller afterwards and then you'll be ok

Hello JesusWept2,
and this key is still in use in version 9.0.1?
it is not listed in the registry documentation of enterprise vault 9.
