cloning exchange EV server

We are in a exchange migration process and we are rehydrating our mailboxes.  We currently have one EV server that is virtual.  If I want to clone the server and create a new virtual server so we can have a second system to rehydrate from is that doable?  Will the archives still be linked to the exisiting exchange environment?

Hi,

It's a strange idea ;)

Have you try to launch many (maybe 5 or6) instances of the wizard in same times for rehydrate your mailbox ?

Maybe you need to had some CPU and memory at your VM ... but I do it for import PST files by the EV wizard ... then why not do it for rehydrate ...

Regards,

Antoine

I may even suggest migrating the archived data independant of the mailbox and to save you a bunch of hassle, including the necessary resources (and time) to "rehydrate" all that data. If you have a Journal ... there is another concerns.
