configuring web application access in enterprise vault site properties

In our EV enviroment  we have a problem accessing the web application from the clients outlook-addin.
It tries to connect to HTTPS://EVsite/enterprisevault, but it does not answer on that protocol. If we manually change it to HTTP in outlook it works. Site properties in EV is configured for SSL so i find it kind of strange that it only answers on HTTP. As far as i know the default setting for EV is http and not https.

We want it to use regular HTTP anyways, so we found a article ( http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/351189.htm) on how to change the protocol in the site properties, but there is a couple things here i am uncertain about.

Im not very familiar with IIS and the article doesnt explain how to configure IIS in detail, but perhaps there is someone here who could enlighten me on the matter?

you would actually configure the website itself, in the properties you should have a checkbox next to requires SSL and a port number, 443
or you can also go through the advanced button and tell it to listen on port 443 also and configure any of the certs you want to use

the thing is, if you want to use HTTP only, then you just need to uncheck the box in EV and then repair the shortcuts
IIS is currently not configured for HTTPS for you, so you dont need to do any IIS reconfiguration

I see :)

But if i wanted to change from HTTP to HTTPS under other circumstances what files would i have to configure in IIS?
