error from archivied file

Hallo,

we have a problem from our new enterprise vault:

We have one staff member, she have permission from the mailbox from her chef. Her chef have moved archivied msg.-objects in a folder. But she can't opened the moved files. The is a error-message "Enterprise Vault Can't open this file. Copy or move it in your mailbox and try it again"

She can open the archived mail in the mailbox from her chef...

Have anyone a idea? Thanks!

Hi mate,

I believe the emails (shortcuts) have been moved to a folder outside the mailbox. PST, Personal folders, etc.

You will have to move the emails back to the mailbox (or a folder inside the mailbox) and then you will be able to open them.

Yes, when i move the archivied object back into the mailbox, then i can open it. I also can open the archivied object in the mailbox (in the folder this is a copy of the archivied mailbox-object), but we must open the object in the folder, is this possible?

Nope, this is not possible. You will have to restore the email first, then copy it to the offline location. Or, you may temporary enable Virtual Vault and copy the emails from there.
