from EV8/Win2003 to EV9/Win2008R2; move or upgrade ?

hi, 

which would be a better route:

1.  upgrade EV8 to EV9 then move to windows 2008 R2?

or

2.  Move EV8 to Win2008R2 then upgrade to EV9 ?

Please advise.

I would do a direct upgrade to EV 9 on the existing machine, and then move to Windows 2008R2 and install EV10 and use the Enterprise Vault server settings migration wizard.

As EV8 is not supported on 2008R2 AFAIK, option 2 would be out of question.
As ZeRoC00l suggests, using the Settings Migration wizard would be a good option.
