new partition added but no archiving is being done

hello all. thanks for the time.  we had one of our file server partitions fill up so i created a new one and made that one as active.  however no files are being written to it.  also the private queues are all at 0 but the services are running.  i've restarted the server but so far no go.  am i missing something? thanks again for the time.

First thing, make sure the partition is Open and not Ready.  Second, is EV in Backup Mode.  Then third, are the task in Report Mode?

Tony thank you for the quick response.  it was in Ready state..changed it to Open and it is in normal mode and not report. and not in backup mode.  i started the task and now it is processing so hopefully that should have done it. thanks again.
