non user mailbox issues, does not seem to create archive?

Hi All,

I am trying to setup a non-user mailbox for archiving, so that I can share the archive with some users. I put the AD account for the shared mailbox into the group that all the rest of our users are in that is basically a 'Vault Enabled' group.  I let it run overnight, I checked the reports and got an archiving report that lists the mailbox with 'mailbox state' new. But I am not finding an archive for it in with the rest of the users.

I am wondering if I am just missing part of the process here? The only things that seem different about this is that its a shared mailbox instead of a user mailbox, and the ad user for the account is disabled.

Any thoughts?

Have you enabled the mailbox via the Enable Mailbox Wizard?  Also, as the AD account is disabled you will want to set the registry key to allow them to be archived.
