running evinstall on a workstation other then the gateway sever

We have this issue where we have Lotus Notes 7.0.3 installed on our Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway. When we tried to run evinstall we got an error message that say that we need to have Notes 7.0.2 or 8.0 to run evinstall.

With Notes 7.0.2 we need to apply hotfix 691 from IBM. IBM does not supply this hotfix anymore. They told us to use Notes 7.0.3.......

My question is can we run evinstall from a PC other then the gateway running Lotus Notes 8.0 without messing our gateway or Domino mail target servers?

Hi all!

I received confirmation from Symantec support that evinstall can be run from a workstation other then the EV gateway provide it as Notes 7.0.2 + 702HF691 or Notes 8.0 installed on it.
