I'm doing some EV 10 STS testing questions, what is medium level indexing? I thought only brief and full. And why the answer is phrase not attachment?

Thank you.

Prior to EV 10 there were three levels of indexing, brief, medium and full. Both medium and full index attachments but single words... Full gives you phrase indexing. EV 10 has only two levels brief and full as per the readme... New 64-bit indexing engine Enterprise Vault 10.0 includes a new, 64-bit, indexing engine. To take advantage of the new engine, Enterprise Vault has undergone a significant redesign of its indexing and search components and now runs on 64-bit systems only. This release includes the following features: 64-bit, scalable indexing engine 32-bit indexes can be upgraded to 64-bit ones, if required 64-bit indexes can be rebuilt, verified and synchronized Index servers can be grouped to share resources, and to allow for scalable indexing and searching Concurrent indexing and searching is now supported Indexing and storage no longer need to be co-located Indexing is now fully managed by the Administration Console, which includes a new Manage Indexes wizard and Monitor Indexing Tasks page There are now only two indexing levels: full and brief Preview length for search results is now configurable New wildcard searching capabilities. The three-character prefix is no longer required when searching 64-bit indexes Federated searches can be performed across 32-bit and 64-bit indexes for customers upgrading from earlier releases The following features are unchanged: Indexed data is converted at the point of archiving Indexing is asynchronous to archiving More info on the old levels ... http://www.symantec.com/business/support/resources/sites/BUSINESS/content/live/TECHNICAL_SOLUTION/55000/TECH55024/en_US/293428.pdf Hope that helps,
