Hi
I have a user that gets "failed" in synchronizing.
when running dtrace I can see the following:
14/06/2011 12:53:49.725[5968]: Could not open the key HKCU- SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Client\A597DE33E8730644B65C158CD6237DC1\WDS Index Data\Add

14/06/2011 12:53:49.726[5968]: Trying to open the HKCU\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Client\A597DE33E8730644B65C158CD6237DC1\WDS Index Data\ReIndex key for WDS indexing

there are no WDS registry settings under the value HKCU\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Client\A597DE33E8730644B65C158CD6237DC1
as if it not being created.
The user is full admin, we uninstalled and re-installed the client 9.0.2 fresh - same problem.
anyone seen this problem before?

It's not in the UAC, but it's something in the image.
I'll update when we'll found the exact cause.

Hmm, interesting. Were there any other versions of the client installed on the client machine?
Can you create the directories in the registry manually logged in as the user?

9.0.2 was installed after by me.
I will add it manually, thought that there is a knows thing about it, but since the user is admin and has permissions to registry it was weird...
BTW, this is a computer that was installed with a ready win7 image with the ev 9.0.1 installed on the image.
I think maybe there's a connection.
I'll add it manually, and do another check on another computer that is installed with this image.
as always Tony - 10X a lot

I could be wrong, but I don't think that they are the reason for the synch failing.
Can you post a full client log ?

Hi,
I had some problems on Windows 7 computers because of UAC
Try to deactivate User Access Control, restart the computer, then check to see if the problem persists

it does pop out, but it's in their GPO, so - i'll check this and let you know.
