I wish to empty the file xfer file tmp( C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\xfer),
without passing by the deinstallation of the product.
Has you  an effective way  to make it ??
Thank you

You can do that without any problem.

Large numbers of .tmp files are being created in the xfer_tmp or 7.5/xfer folder and are being detected as threats

Rafeeq,

I actually use a tool called Temp Folder 2.2 which does the job as you have given in the article. It is a freeware from http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Clear-TEMP-folder.shtml

I would suggest if you can use this link in the article also. That way we can ensure that people don't write incorrect dos commands.
