I purchased an online subscription from Symantec for Norton 360 V5 complete for 3 users, however my laptop also downloaded a rootkill virus that has corrupted the Norton download. Is there anything that can be done or have I lost my money.
Urgent assistance required.

There are two tools that you can run that should help remove the threat.
First try the Norton Boot disk - http://us.norton.com/support/globalmaps/recoverytool.jsp
If that fails to find the threat, run a scan with the Norton Power Eraser - http://security.symantec.com/nbrt/npe.aspx?lcid=1033&origin=default
BTW, there is a community just for Norton users. There are many more experts with the Norton products there to help. http://community.norton.com/norton/
