Hi there,
When is this issue going to get fixed? When clicking a link to a Veritas TN, it invariably redirects to a "nothing" Technical Support page. This means going back and clicking on the link yet again!

I just want to report that this is something I also have experienced for a long time. And it is as Marianne says, the subsequent page access will stay on the same page, its just the first attempt redirects.

Thank you for the feedback. We have submitted this over to our developers and they are working on a fix. We apologize about the inconvience this is causing. As soon as I have confirmation it has been resolved I'll post back to this thread.

I can understand the frustration. Unfortunately when they first thought it was fixed, it ended up not being so it required more investigation into the root cause. Now that they have found the root cause they are working on a fix. However that fix was reliant on a few other things that weren't ready and then it has to fit into a release cycle. So unfortunately we haven't been able to deploy the fix because it had dependencies that weren't meant yet. I can assure you it is actively being worked and once it has been confirmed to be released I'll keep this post updated.

It is over a year that this thread has been idle and the issue is still as annoyng as day 1 (to quote @Marianne ). Is there ANY hope of a fix?

We are also struggling with that from time to time but right now it basically happens for every kb article we try to access.

The worst is that NOBODY at Veritas seems to care....
I have been experiencing the same recently - I could not open ANY tech articles while logged on to VOX.
It was so bad that I started using a different browser where I am not logged on anywhere in Veritas.
TNs and Articles open fine.
It seems to have something to do with the fact that VOX keeps us logged in for extended period, but that we are logged off from the rest of Veritas within a few minutes.
What has worked for me is to logon after the redirect, and then retry the link.
It has happened once or twice that I still got redirected to the 'how can we help' page.
It seemed that I was once again logged of.
So, logged on again.
Retried the article URL - this time it worked.
For some weird reason, All seems fine now. Even though it shows in the top right of the article that I'm not logged on, I no longer get redirected....
Have they fixed it?

Nope, still broken :(
I am reading https://vox.veritas.com/t5/Backup-Exec/Backup-exec-20-5-trial-version-error-library-expansion-featur... and trying to read https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100023117
It will render the correct article page briefly, but then the browser keeps "working" and I get redirected to https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US?profileURL=https%253A%252F%252Fvam-profile.veritas.com... which appears to be the support home page. After trying about 6-8 time, I just gave up and used a second browser.

Really disappointed that Veritas Employees have no interest in getting this resolved.

Hi @Marianne - thank you for reporting this issue @JoeKug and I reached out to our IT Team. We think the issue you are reporting may have been resolved. Can you please see if that is the case? You may need to logout, clear browser cache, and login again to ensure the issue is cleared out. There are a number of other issues we are trying to address related to session timeouts across the various Veritas websites that use VAM. VOX and Veritas Support both do. I will check back throughout the week to see if you guys are seeing improvement. Let us know. -Kelly

Thanks for confirming, @Marianne . @Larry_Fine , I hope this also works for you. There are some other issues IT discovered while looking at this, but I don't think they would impact you as much.

When I first tested it today, it was still broken. Normally my browser session times out and Vox asks for me to log back in, which is what I just did. But after I did an explicit logout and then logged back in, it now works correctly. The problem always was somewhat intermittant, but hopefully it is really fixed, finally. Thanks.

Still not 100% fixed...
This is what happened this morning:
I logged onto VOX and started reading posts in the NetBackup forum.
I needed to search for some documentation to post as reply.
In a new tab, I did a Google search for the subject, which brought up this URL:

The doc opened briefly, then redirected here:

Attempt 2 opened the link (without redirecting to the VAM link).

Hi @Marianne , I checked with our IT staff on this. They are aware of the issue you reported. I guess the initial fix was something they could do without a release. The fix that will address what you are currently experiencing will be release on Friday Nov 22nd. I appreciate your patience as we continue to address these issues across our sites!

@kellyromer , this issue has literally been around for YEARS, so, waiting another week or two/three is nothing at all.
When @CraigV created this thread 2 years ago, we were already beyound annoyed with this issue.
Really looking forward to getting this fixed!
