Over the past 12 months, Veritas has made substantial investments in three core areas: Content, Compliance, & Choice.
From a content perspective, we recognize that file types are proliferating on a daily basis and end-users are experimenting with new applications all the time. A modern archiving solution must be adaptable and nimble to support more than just e-mail and Veritas’ solutions empower organizations with the flexibility to invest in new collaboration and productivity tools, while remaining confident that data is being retained properly. Additionally, it’s not just about archival support, it’s about content understanding and Veritas has developed new game-changing classification technology that allows for organizations to gain an in-depth understanding of the risk hiding in their archive. This Engine is one of the centerpieces to Veritas’ bold new 360 Data Management approach.
From a Compliance perspective, Veritas has designed a comprehensive GDPR framework that leverages our expertise in Enterprise Information Archiving and expands upon our retention management and classification capabilities to deliver a powerful solution that has been engineered to meet privacy-by-design principles. Enterprise Vault and Enterprise Vault.cloud provide the foundation for improving Subject Access Request response times and delivering a workflow that enables the Right to Erasure.
Finally, from a Choice perspective, Veritas has introduced flexible deployment options for customers who are interested in moving their Enteprise Vault environment to an IaaS provider or another hosted scenario. Furthermore, new secondary storage connectors allow customers to store their archived data in a wide variety of on-premises and cloud-based repositories. So, with both Enterprise Vault and Enterprise Vault.cloud, customers have the option to deploy however they would like—from on-prem to SaaS—and everything in between.
