On October 26th, Veritas secured major broadcast TV coverage when Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, Louis Tague, was interviewed on Sky News Business.

Sky referenced the recently published Data Hoarder Research Report; a new study looking into the digital behavior of global organizations. The study found that nearly 70% of office workers are data hoarders, admitting to keeping 66% of the files they create with the oldest files dating back as far as 7 years.

Tague discussed what it means to be a data hoarder, the digital behavior of Australians, and why employees are holding onto the unnecessary data.

When asked “What should we be doing from a corporate perspective as well as from a private citizen perspective?”, Tague replied: “At a very high level, it’s about having data information policies. As an individual, you can start making decisions about your information and what information you’re going to keep and what information you’re going to archive and or delete”
