Re: Information Studio Vs Information Map

Information Map provides an immersive visual experience for users to gain insights into your organization’s unstructured data across various content sources. By presenting metadata in a visual fashion, the Information Map helps organizations optimize information storage and reduce information risk. It uses the file and folder metadata to help you visualize your data, processes this information and displays various perspectives of the data in your environment.

Information Studio goes much beyond the InfoMap’s great features on information visibility, and further provides intelligence about the data residing on various content repositories. It also provides powerful classification of content, such as all files that contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII), to help you understand what kind of data is occupying available storage space.

For instance, Veritas Information Studio can give you:

  • Insights into the trends in the growth of the information in your organization and gives you a projection of the storage requirements for the future.
  • The data analytics help you plan your capacity requirements. Visibility views give you a global, regional, data center, and server level overview of storage consumption trends.
