On March 28, members of #TeamVtas in the Bay Area helped Our City Forest at their nursery in San Jose, labeling plans, transplanting trees, and watering.
Our City Forest is a nonprofit organization "changing San Jose, one tree at a time." They’re the leading nonprofit in Silicon Valley for environmental education and urban forestry, and the nursery maintained by the organization houses the trees to be planted across the community.
The group of 24 Veritas employees—including SVP Chief Human Resources Officer, Sophie Ames—enjoyed supporting the charity, and is planning to support the planting of trees in the community in the next dedicated support effort.
Veritas also donated $15 for each hour volunteered per participant through its Dollars for Doers program—bringing in a total of $1,035 for the nonprofit.
Thank you for the hard work, #TeamVtas! And a special thank you to the Bay Area SAVE (Sustainability at Veritas Empowered) Resource Group for organizing this event.
