Today’s #EWeek2019 Veritas Technologies engineer: Abhinav Agrawal
Abhinav has been a part of #TeamVtas for over 12 years, with a current focus on Enterprise Vault and EnterpriseVault.cloud, Veritas’ archiving and e-discovery solution. As a Senior Principal Engineer, he was among the leaders of the recent EV Cloud transformation to public cloud, and has been instrumental in taking EV.cloud features to new levels.
What is your role as an engineer with Veritas Technologies?
@aagrawal: My title is “Sr. Principal SQA Engineer” in Enterprise Data Protection and Compliance. Currently, I am working as one of the solution architects in EV.Cloud. My responsibilities are understanding business requirements, defining features, creating technical designs, hashing out implementation flow, designing test strategy and implementing it end-to-end with the feature teams.
What inspired you to take on a role in engineering?
@aagrawal: I started my career with Symantec/Veritas 2006 as a fresh grad. It’s been amazing 12-year journey. I have learned a lot, and I’m still learning as a part of multiple teams; the company culture, my team members, and mentors have always helped me to grow. The technology experience I am getting as a part of the hosted offering team is exciting – learning something new every day keeps me going.
What is your favorite part of your role at Veritas?
@aagrawal: I like challenges, solving new problems every day, technical discussions with my teams, and bringing new ideas on the table. It’s an excellent opportunity for me to work in the cloud domain, managing sizable data and solving new challenges in this vast domain.
