It has been a busy week for Veritas' staff based in the UK with the team in attendance at Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations & Cloud Strategies Conference 2018 in London and at HPE Discover 2018 held in Madrid, Spain as well as Nutanix .NEXT European event hosted in London. So, why is #TeamVtas at Nutanix .NEXT? Veritas and Nutanix have partnered to create a high-performance data protection solution by integrating the leading enterprise backup and recovery software with a turnkey
hyper-converged infrastructure offering with feature-rich software-defined storage and built-in virtualisation. Combining world-class backup and recovery together with highly scalable Nutanix virtualised environments which allow organisations to realise the full value of the cloud while seamlessly protecting their vital information. This partnership helps our joint customers to be safe in the knowledge that when they purchase a Nutanix hyper-converged platform including Veritas' data production solution their data is protected, backed up and easily recovered. It's a partnership you can trust!
On the first day of Nutanxi .NEXT Peter Grimmond, Vice President Technical Sales EMEA presented "Transforming Enterprise Data Protection and Resilience for the Nutanix Platform". During his presentation, he discussed how enterprises are evolving through the adoption of digital transformation and the utilisation of hyper-converged infrastructure solutions. According to IDC, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) adoption is rocketing: total HCI spend was $1.2B in the first quarter of 2018, representing a 76.3% year over year growth. While HCI delivers benefits of reduced IT complexity, the sheer volume of data and virtual machine proliferation create data protection and resiliency challenges. Veritas and Nutanix are extending their partnership to provide enterprise-class data protection and resiliency to mitigate compliance risk, simplify data protection, and reduce costs through intelligent data tiering on-premises or to the cloud. In this presentation, Peter shares some case studies of customers who are using Veritas to protect data and provide real-time application resiliency in their Nutanix environments and provides an update on the new capabilities that Veritas will be releasing for Nutanix in the near future. You can view Peter's presentation on SlideShare.
I have collated a few photos from the event to give you a feel of what happened at this year's Nutanix .NEXT European Conference:
