On Wednesday, March 7th, Veritas’ GIVE Employee Resource Group (ERG) hosted the Stanford Blood Center bus for a blood drive at its Mountain View offices, to raise awareness and inspire the giving spirit – and with great success!

In its first blood drive effort, Veritas helped the Stanford Blood Center to collect twenty-seven pints of blood – an amount equivalent to saving an estimated eighty-one lives. One Veritas employee who helps to lead the company’s GIVE ERG and organized the drive, excitedly noted of the donations, “Seventeen of those pints were O – so universal donors – which is fantastic!

The GIVE ERG had set an internal goal of twenty-four appointments, with thirty-six individuals showing-up to donate. One blood drive attendee shared of the impression left by Veritas staff, “We surprised them with how generous our staff are in rolling their sleeves up.”

The GIVE group is now tentatively looking to schedule another drive in June, as it’s a time known to be short in donations.

And of course, GIVE would like to extend a heartfelt, “Thank you,” to all who donated and participated in the March 7th drive.

It it efforts like this one, and others among Veritas’ Employee Resource Groups, that help to make #LifeAtVeritas so inspiring.
