First job: my first non-corporate job during my engineering days was to teach math and computer fundamentals to high school students in my hometown to prepare them for interschool computer programming competitions.

First corporate job: my first job was in system design and embedded programming with Genesis Microchip Inc. a San Francisco Bay Area leading chip company supplying microprocessors for Digital TV set-top boxes and LCD monitors.

Fun fact: I love traveling and visiting unfamiliar places; hence I am lucky to have lived and worked in over 10 countries in the initial 10 years of my professional life. These days, I try to visit U.S. National parks with my kids during vacations.

Favorite social distancing activity: playing online games with my kids and family.

I believe to be successful we need a mix of attitude, aptitude, and ability. I keep an open and positive attitude towards learning, dealing with problems, and a helpful attitude towards team members; they all go a long way towards making the journey enjoyable. I also focus on slow but steady progression in my career and find time for family no matter what.

Our team’s charter is to be innovative and bring solutions in data protection and governance space to the market as soon as possible with the highest quality. The role I am hiring will be involved in Containers, Kubernetes, and Cloud. This is an exciting domain to work in as it offers the opportunity to do innovative work in a fast-moving environment using a multitude of technologies including Angular, Java, GoLang, C++, to name a few.

What advice would you give to a candidate who is looking to interview and join your team?
