That was the biggest and best Veritas Technical Forum held in Madrid, Spain from 3 to 6 June 2019, with top customers and partners joining on 5 and 6 June. The event is now in its fifth year and continues to grow in popularity. Peter Grimmond, Vice President for EMEA Technology opened the event with much delight from the attendees. He spoke about how Veritas has helped many organisations to future proof their data management strategies, policies, processes and storage. And that Veritas is the only data management vendor to be number 1 in Enterprise Data Management, Software Defined Storage and Enterprise Archiving, this pedigree continues to be utilised by tens of thousands of customers worldwide.

Peter said that it is impossible to use the same data management techniques to deal with today's business challenges and complexities and that it is essential that businesses optimise for costs in a cost constraint world, thus ensuring businesses are always protected and optimised. So, how do you do this? Optimising data in a cost constraint world can be tricky and generally you have two options:

  1. Ctrl+Alt+Del the data you have stored, but that never works
  2. Or choose a platform that can manage your data simply

Simplifying the data you have stored is core to Veritas' data management platform.

Veritas and Pure Storage help multi-cloud enterprises gain agility and speed with integrated snapshot-based protection for scale-out data in Flash Arrays. Using Veritas NetBackup and CloudPoint, customers can lower their Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), and achieve high-performance data protection for their data in Flash Arrays.
