On Friday, February 23rd, the Veritas Singapore HR team devoted its HR Giving Week hours to the Willing Hearts soup kitchen. Willing Hearts is a charitable organization maintained almost entirely by volunteers, and dedicated to supporting those in need within the local community by providing accessible, nutritious meals.
The Willing Hearts kitchen distributes an impressive 4,500 meals, daily, with beneficiaries including children from poverty-stricken families, elderly and disabled individuals, low-income families, and migrant workers in Singapore. As a part of the day’s efforts, our Singapore HR team cooked, packed, and delivered meals to the organization’s distribution centers for pick-up by those in need across Singapore island.
In 2018, throughout our global offices, those of us on Veritas Human Resources teams will be completing nearly 4,000 hours of philanthropic work in support of our local communities, and on behalf of Veritas Technologies.
HR Giving Week is just a part of what makes #LifeAtVeritas so good.
