On Thursday, September 19, female colleagues from Veritas' Heathrow office attended the Professional Women's Luncheon hosted by the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce; the Veritas attendees reflected the office’s Women at Veritas Empowered group—one among many employee resources at Veritas.
The luncheon sets the standard for showcasing successful women in an environment that is inspiring and supportive. At the luncheons, high-profile women share impactful stories, giving attendees a look into the accomplishments and struggles of women throughout Central Florida. Likewise, the luncheon provides a rich opportunity to connect and network.
The featured speaker at this luncheon was Stacie Ruth, Co-Founder of AireHealth. Stacie shared details of her career and personal life, from her corporate journey to ultimately becoming a Business Leader and Commercial Executive for Philips. However, two years ago she made the brave move to leave the corporate world to chart her own course, becoming a co-founder and CEO of AireHealth, a medical technology company. AireHealth created a new, high-tech connected nebulizer to better the lives of the more than 100 million people suffering from respiratory illness.
In even a short period of time, Stacie’s company is generating buzz, winning the 2019 Crummer Rollins Venture Plan and Steve Case’s Rise of the Rest of Orlando competitions, as well as being chosen as one of five companies selected to be a part of GuideWell Innovation’s Emerging Health Tech Accelerator. Notably, Veritas’ Michelle Billhartz, Sr. Dir, Global Source to Pay, is a board member representing the company in the chamber.
