Veritas’ Heathrow campus participates in the Orlando IOA Corporate 5K

This year Veritas had 227 employees register to participate in the IOA Corporate 5K and garnered the ‘Top 10’ Largest Team Category.

On April 12th, 227 employees from Veritas’ Heathrow office participated in the Insurance Office of America – IOA – Corporate 5K event in Orlando, FL. The event drew nearly 18,000 people from 750 local companies – it has even been referred to as “Orlando’s largest office party.”

Our Heathrow office has been participating in the IOA Corporate 5K since the first event in 1995. This effort by IOA has helped to prioritize health and wellness in corporate culture – and those of us in Heathrow are proud to participate on behalf of Veritas.

Several members from Veritas' Heathrow Corporate 5K Committee, including Monique, Rodrigo, Nathan, Elias, and Chris (not pictured: Aparna, Todd, and Valorie).Employee participation from the Heathrow office has always been strong, and this year we had 227 employees register to participate and garnered the ‘Top 10’ Largest Team Category. Veritas also participated in the Corporate 5K T-Shirt Design Contest, taking 2nd place with 248 total votes.

It was inspiring to witness our Veritas company community coming together for shared good, including the families and friends of many. Based on the submitted finish times, the top 3 fastest times for Veritas Employees:

• Men: Todd Boyington (20:32), Jason Snow (23:30), Yoandri Gallardo (24:04)

• Women: Liana East (24:18), Priscilla Aguirre (24:38), Liz Hansen (24:44)

And as a company we submitted 8 teams, made up of 4 men’s, 2 women’s, and 2 co-ed teams, with the results below:

• Veritas placed 1st & 5th in the co-ed division
• Veritas placed 1st & 3rd in the women’s division
• Veritas placed 3rd, 4th, 8th and 12th in the men’s division
