On Tuesday, March 6th and Thursday, March 8th, the Veritas’ Heathrow WAVE Employee Resource Group hosted a breakfast fundraiser in celebration of International Women’s Day, supporting the 2018 #PressForProgress campaign.
Now, more than ever, there's a compelling call-to-action to progress gender parity, and the #PressforProgress campaign supports this charge, motivating and uniting individuals and organizations to focus on gender inclusion.
All proceeds raised from the Veritas #PressForProgress fundraiser were donated to SafeHouse of Seminole. SafeHouse provides help and hope for women affected by domestic violence and abuse, including campus housing and other support services.
Breakfast fundraisers have become a staple at the Heathrow Veritas Campus, led by our ERG Champions from BLEVE, GIVE, HOLA, PAVE, REVIV, SAVE, and WAVE. The menu of eggs, bacon, sausage, and waffles continues to be a hit, and all items are cooked on-site. We’ve discovered, if there is food, people will show-up – our last breakfast fundraiser garnered donations of $960!
