On Sept 4, 2019 Veritas’ Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, Jeanette Scholz and Senior Recruiter Neil Weber attended A Call to Lead: Empowering the Bay Area's Employers, sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes, in partnership with Comcast NBCUniversal and LinkedIn.
This event highlighted the Bay Area's military community and provided best practices and resources for businesses to engage military-connected talent. As a leading veteran-friendly region, the Bay Area provided the perfect backdrop to host a discussion focused on public-private partnerships and community engagement around military family support—especially from the education, employment, and career support angles. This half-day event provided best practices for businesses to engage the military community, move from veteran-friendly to veteran ready, and focused on myths surrounding student veterans and how they add to the workforce.
Harnessing our diversity is one of the key elements of #LifeAtVeritas. The more diverse our people, the better placed we are to innovate, solve problems, and go forward. That’s why we foster a culture of inclusion and welcome diversity across our global operations. Attending A Call to Lead: Empowering the Bay Area's Employers, allows us to further diversify #TeamVtas by engaging military-connected talent.
