On February 23rd, Veritas Technologies hosted Professionalism Day for Minnesota Aspirations in Computing – an organization collaborating with businesses, organizations, and schools "to inspire, support, and empower young women in high school to become our next, best Minnesota technology talent." The informative workshop ran from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and incorporated focused sessions on resume drafting, professional etiquette, and interview best practices.
To put the shared guidance to action, representatives from Veritas invited participants to engage in 1:1 and panel-style interviews, and even hosted a professional headshot station to ensure each student walked away with an image to ideally populate their LinkedIn profile.
All in all, it was a successful event by Veritas Roseville, complete with some unexpected positive outcomes; several students noted the experience helped them prepare for their college and scholarship applications!
Excellent work, #TeamVtas. It is efforts like this, focused on fortifying our local communities, that make #LifeAtVeritas so rewarding.
