Veritas hosts Watermark’s Hillary Wicht for her presentation: Is Your Voice as Powerful as You Are?

In the spirit of personal and professional improvement – a leading drive at Veritas – our Corporate Responsibility team invited the Watermark organization to host Hillary Wicht at our Mountain View headquarters for a presentation by Wicht titled, “Is Your Voice as Powerful as You Are?”

So much of professional presentation is in one’s voice – how we sound when we convey the particulars of our next big campaign or development project. And while one’s business accomplishments may indicate that they’re an exceptional colleague, an unsound delivery of the details may not be so persuasive.

Hillary Wicht’s March 29th presentation was received with zeal by our staff. Wicht is a voice expert who has been tapped as a specialist by the Wall Street Journal and the Stanford Entrepreneurial Graduate Program for her work on the impact of gender communication styles in the corporate sector.

Wicht spoke with Veritas attendees on the ways in which women unknowingly “give up their power through the way they communicate,” and uncovered the most common “power-leaks” in female communication styles and give insights and tools for communication “power-plays.”
