On May 16th, Veritas is hosting Autism Advantage at its Mountain View headquarters for a collection of sessions offering program participants guidance on interviewing and resume drafting, as well as professional interaction and presentation tips and tricks.
The courses we’ve created were designed to inspire understanding among all participants of the needs of a diverse pool of talent, and we’re appreciative of the dedication by Autism Advantage leaders assisting Veritas staff in this process. This has been a truly collaborative effort, end-to-end, with a shared charge of ideally supporting autistic individuals in overcoming the bounds sometimes encountered in job-seeking and professional life.
That morning, HR Veritas employees with our diversity champion, Rick Avila, will be joined for a presentation by John Marble – a writer and speaker on innovation and autistic issues – followed by presentations and workshops from Veritas HR to the Autism Advantage cohort, including skills courses demonstrating best practices in applying for roles in IT, like Data Science and Quality Assurance.
Those of us at Veritas look forward to livening our support of Autism Advantage throughout the year as we identify new opportunities to integrate; we are in the process of developing support for an internship program so we may more closely align to those a part of Autism Advantage.
At Veritas, corporate citizenship includes philanthropy, employee activism and engagement, and a commitment to human rights, education, and driving social change. And in 2018, a part of #LifeAtVeritas includes partnering with Autism Advantage.
