Is it possible to login to a 5230 Master server console using AD credentails? I'm not asking about the appliance web portal - master server console
If yes, how do I set this up please?

Please open Java Console and try checking the box for - Use Active Directory login Credentials

I understood AD credentials are only available if the Master Server is Windows, so not for Appliance Masters. Thanks, Andrew

Thanks for the replies.
If i tick the check box then I get a single sign-on error. If I don't tick the check box my domain account is available in the drop-down list. If I enter the password manually I get logged into the BAR not the Master Server Console - yes, I am opening the correct shortcut as administrator
Is that definitly correct then, only local accounts are valid for logging into an appliance master server?
