I'm trying to find an easy way to report on the actual amount of data being transferred from one Netbackup 5220 appliance to another 5220 appliance using SLP & AIR. Both appliances are running 7.6.0.2. I wrote a script to look for the "CR sent" field in the /usr/openv/netbackup/db/jobs/trylogs/ directory but as we implement Targeted AIR the script will have to be updated to accommodate the changes. I could not find a report in OpsCenter that would give me this information. Is the "CR sent" data logged somewhere other that the job logs that would make it easier to report on for any given timeframe?

You could take a look at the netbackup\db\error\ section
A new log is created daily (so today we have log_1406242800 as it works in unix time - though that seems to be 11pm last night)
That logs lots of useful information including the CR details.

Hello,
Take a look at this note.
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH147351
In opscenter you can run a query. Check out this post
http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/looking-custom-opscenter-analytics-sql-script
and this one
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/pre-vs-post-deduplication-report-breaks-down-client
It reports on the size / space saving but the "post dedup size" figure should give you an indication of what would be transmitted to the 2nd appliance.

Thanks for the replies, let me take a look at these options.

If memory serves me right, in /disk/log/spad/replication.log* on the source appliance you can see some size figures of those replicated data.

I have tried these recommendations but still do not see any easy way to get this data. What I’m trying to find out is how much data is being replicated to each Target Master Server Nightly. I would like the report to be separated by Target Master, and then include:
Client Name, Replication Job ID, Amount of Data replicated – Then Total data replicated for specific time period.
I don’t know how to write a custom sql query if anyone has a custom report that will generate this info please let me know. The “ bperror –hoursago” command has a lot of good information but the output that I am looking for is not consistent. Any help would be appreciated.
