Hello,
I'm using a 5230 Appliance with a Microsoft Windows 2008 Master-Server.
The issue is for all policy with a retention of 5weeks.
Yesterday i had more than 6000 images normally expired, the date of the backup image in the catalog was more old than 5weeks but the images are still present.
The appliance is at 98% used, so i delete a lot of expired images :
- nbstlutil inactive -lifecycle <NameSLP>
- bpexpdate -backupid <backupidJob> -d 0 -force (select all the job with the catalog and put it on excel to treate them)
- nbstlutil cancel -backupid <backupidJob>
- nbdelete -allvolumes -force
- bpimage -cleanup -allclients
- crcontrol --processqueueinfo
- crcontrol --processqueue
- crcontrol --compactstart
Now the appliance is at 77% used, but the real issue is not done.
How can i check and solve this issue ?
Thx.

Please list the details of the one of the images which is still not expired. Let's see if we can find more details about backup expiration on this image.
bpimagelist -backupid image_id -L

The fact that you need to run 'nbstlutil cancel -backupid <backupidJob>' means that there are secondary SLP processes (e.g. duplication or replication) that have not completed.
Backup images get Infinite retention until all secondary processes have completed.
Only then is the original expiration date applied.
You need to troubleshoot incomplete SLPs.
If SLP attributes have been updated, then the outstanding SLPs must be pointed to the new SLP version.
