Hello,
I'm receiving this error message again, but it slightly different than before. The last time we received these messages was when Symantec's CALLHOME server was down. I believe we are having the same issue, but with additional error messages.
In addition to the message in the title of this thread, we are also getting a "Error: An internal server error occurred. Please try again later." in the email notification. I tried troubleshooting the issue by following this tech doc just as before: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH152748
When I try to connect using the "# w3m https://www.symappmon.com" command on the appliance console, I receive the following message:
unable to get local issuer certificate: accept? (y/n)
If I say Yes to the prompt, I receive a "Accept unsecure SSL session: unverified: unable to get local issuer certificate". After about 5 seconds, the screen just goes blank and I have to do a <Ctrl-Z> to get back to a console prompt.
Any ideas on what's going on? Is the CALLHOME server down again?

I had a similar issue with our 5020s turned out to be down to name resolution for the symappmon site. How are your appliances handling name resolution at the moment?
