Hi @rduartesantos

Assuming you have run the readiness analyser and this has passed then the problem may be with your current vm.conf file.

Try opening an elevated shell on the appliance and renaming the vm.conf file. Then perform the upgrade. Once complete revert the vm.conf file and restart netbackup.

1. Open an elevated shell
Support > Maintenance > (enter the password) > elevate

2. Rename the vm.conf file
mv /usr/openv/volmgr/vm.conf SAVED_vm_conf

3. Proceed with the Appliance upgrade

Upon conclusion of the successful upgrade to 3.3.0.1, revert the vm.conf file back to its original name, and restart NetBackup Services on the Appliance
mv /usr/openv/volmgr/SAVED_vm_conf vm.conf
netbackup stop
netbackup start

If this doesn't work, then I suggest opening a support case.

Cheers
David

Hi @rduartesantos

As I see it you now have two options

  1. Review the various log files under /log to see if you can find out why asc (part of the autosupport feature) is erroring
  2. Log a support call and get Veritas to do this for you

Good luck
David
