HOW TO IMPLEMENT BARE METAL RESTORE TO HYPER V (VHD)

I want to implement a bare metal restore from my backups to microsoft hyper v virtual . I'll explain the scenerio below:

I have a physical server and a netbackup appliance. I will be backing up my physical server on my netbackup appliance. i will like to do a BMR of the physical server and boot it it from my Microsoft hyper v host. 

Can somebody give a detailed guide to achieve this?

but I am not sure if this supports hyper-v - I am in vmware shop so could not test...
