The post that you found (https://vox.veritas.com/t5/NetBackup/Disk-Pool-Re-sizing/m-p/602412) contains a lot of information already. Is there nothing in that discussion that helped you in any way?

You need to empty out the Anvanced disk (duplicate and expire) before you can remove Advanced disk. As per the advice in the other post, best to leave a small AdvancedDisk.
