How to identify the part number for a 5230 Netbackup Appliance 1TB hard disk

Nick80s

Hi All,

We have a 5230 appliance that is currently out of vendor support due to its age, and we are on the verge of migrating the images off using AIR.

We currently have two hard disk failures on the internal storage to the Appliance Head that need replacing :

  • 1 x 1TB disk from the OS mirror
  • 1 x 1TB disk from the RAID 6 Advanced disk storage

How can I identify the part number for the other disks in the RAID sets in order to order the replacement parts ?

Hope you can help. Thanks.

Nick

List out all info on disks, including the types & part numbers :
/opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli/MegaCli64 -cfgdsply -aAll

List out specific disk info :
/opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli/MegaCli64 -pdinfo -PhysDrv [252:0] -a0

Example :
# /opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli/MegaCli64 -pdinfo -PhysDrv [252:0] -a0 |grep Inquiry
Inquiry Data: SEAGATE ST1000NM0001 0002Z1N4FC0Q
